Madison Chock
Madison La'akea Te-Lan Hall Chock (born July 2, 1992) is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Evan Bates, she is a 2022 Olympic team event silver medalist, a three-time World medalist (silver in 2015, bronze in 2016 and 2022), a four-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist ( 2014–15, 2015–16, 2019–20, 2022–23), a two-time Four Continents champions (2019, 2020), and a three-time U.S. national champion (2015, 2020, 2022). She is a three-time Olympian, having represented the United States at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics. With former partner Greg Zuerlein, Chock is the 2009 World Junior champion, 2008 JGP Final champion, and 2011 U.S. national bronze medalist. They competed together from 2006 to 2011. Figure Skating At The 2022 Winter Olympics – Ice Dance
The ice dance competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 12 February (rhythm dance) and 14 February (free dance), at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. Gabriella Papadakis / Guillaume Cizeron of France won the event. Victoria Sinitsina / Nikita Katsalapov, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, won the silver medal, and Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue from the United States bronze. 2022 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2022 World Figure Skating Championships were held in Montpellier, France from March 21–27, 2022. Figure skaters competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition was used to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2023 World Championships. Montpellier was announced as the host in June 2019. It is the first time that Montpellier has ever hosted the World Championships and the first time that France has hosted since 2012. Background The tournament was notable for several high-profile absences. On March 1, 2022, the ISU banned figure skaters and officials from Russia and Belarus from attending all international competitions due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
