Madhu Kaithapram ( ml, മധു കൈതപ്രം) was an Indian film director who worked primarily in the Malayalam film industry based in Kerala. He made his directorial debut with the feature film '' Ekantham'' in 2006 that won him the National Film Award for the best debutant director and followed it up with the critically acclaimed ''Madhya Venal'' (2009) and the family-drama ''Orma Mathram ''Orma Mathram'' ( en, Memories only) is a 2011 Malayalam-language drama film directed by Madhu Kaithapram and starring Dileep, Priyanka Nair, Master Sidharth, Dhanya Mary Varghese, Nedumudi Venu in the main roles. The screenplay was written by ...'' (2011). His last venture ''Velli Velichathil'' was released on 19 September 2014. He died on 29 December 2014. He was under treatment for diabetes.

Padma Shri Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, popularly known as Kaithapram, is a Malayalam lyricist, poet, music director, actor, singer, screenwriter, music therapist and performer of Carnatic music. He debuted with the movie Ennennum Kannettante in 1986. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist two times. Kaithapram is regarded as the most successful and critically acclaimed lyricist of contemporary Malayalam cinema. He was awarded India's fourth-highest civilian honor Padma Shri in 2021 by the Government of India for his contribution to the field of art. The Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organization set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. John Brittas is an Indian politician, Journalist, managing director of Kairali TV (Malayalam Communications, Ltd.) and former Business Head of Asianet Communications. He was born on 24 October 1966, in Kannur into Alilakuzhy family in Pulikurumba. He was elected to Rajya Sabha from Kerala as CPI(M) nominee on 24 April 2021 and took oath on 8 June 2021.
