Madhouse (studio)
is a Japanese animation studio founded in 1972 by ex–Mushi Pro staff, including Masao Maruyama (film producer), Masao Maruyama, Osamu Dezaki, and Yoshiaki Kawajiri. Madhouse has created and helped to produce many well-known shows, OVAs and films, starting with Television, TV anime series ''Ace o Nerae!'' (produced by TMS Entertainment, Tokyo Movie Shinsha) in 1973, and including ''Wicked City (1987 film), Wicked City'', ''Ninja Scroll'', ''Perfect Blue'', ''Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust'', ''Trigun'', ''Di Gi Charat'', ''Black Lagoon (TV series), Black Lagoon'', ''Death Note'', ''Paprika (2006 film), Paprika'', ''Wolf Children, Parasyte, Parasyte: The Maxim'' and the first season of ''One-Punch Man''. Ninja Scroll
is a 1993 Japanese animated ''jidaigeki''- ''chanbara'' film written and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, starring the voices of Kōichi Yamadera, Emi Shinohara, Takeshi Aono, Daisuke Gōri, Toshihiko Seki and Shūichirō Moriyama. The film was a co-production between JVC, Toho and Movic, with Madhouse serving as the animation studio. ''Ninja Scroll'' was theatrically released in Japan on June 5, 1993, and received an English- dubbed release produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and released in Western countries through Manga Entertainment in 1995. The film takes place in feudal Japan and follows Kibagami Jubei, a mercenary swordsman who battles the Eight Devils of Kimon, a team of ninjas with supernatural powers who are intent on overthrowing the Tokugawa shogunate. Masayuki Kojima
is a Japanese animator, storyboard artist, and director, best known for directing the acclaimed anime series ''Monster'' and ''Made in Abyss''. He was born on March 11, 1961 in Yamanashi, Yamanashi, Japan. Career Kojima first got his start in the animation business in the 1980s, where he worked primarily project-to-project for a number of different companies, including Knack Productions and Tatsunoko Production. During this time, his involvement was in television products mostly as an episode director. After joining Madhouse in the 1990s, he took part in dozens of productions as an animator, as well as helming several TV series, two movies, a theatrical short, and a TV special. Morio Asaka
is a Japanese storyboard artist and director. After graduating Osaka Designers' College, Asaka entered Madhouse. He was inspired to become a director by '' Phoenix: Yamato Chapter'' and made his debut as an episode director in episode 40 of ''Yawara!''. He made his chief directorial debut with the 1993 OVA ''POPS''. His noted works include, among others, ''Cardcaptor Sakura'' (his directorial anime television series debut), ''Chobits'', ''Gunslinger Girl'', ''Nana'', ''Chihayafuru'', and ''My Love Story!!''. In 1999, he won the Theatrical Film Award in the Animation Kobe awards. Anime International Company
, often abbreviated as AIC is a Japanese animation studio founded on June 15, 1982 and located in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. On December 10, 2015, AIC RIGHTS Co., Ltd was established through a company split, in which AIC Rights received the transfer of some of the copyrights owned by Anime International Company. One-Punch Man
is a Japanese superhero manga series created by One. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who, because he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows bored from a lack of challenge. One wrote the original webcomic manga version in early 2009. Its Seriealized In Shueisha S' Seinen manga In Weekly Young Jump. A digital manga remake, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, began publication on Shueisha's '' Tonari no Young Jump'' website in June 2012.
