Marie Anne d'Orl̩ans, ''petite-fille de France'' (Marie Anne; 9 November 1652 Р17 August 1656) was a French Princess and youngest daughter of Gaston d'Orl̩ans. She held the rank of '' Grand daughter of France''. She was a member of the House of Orl̩ans. Biography Born at the Palais d'Orl̩ans, the present day Luxembourg Palace in Paris, she was the youngest daughter born to the Duke and Duchess of Orl̩ans. Her father, Gaston d'Orl̩ans, was the youngest brother of the late Louis XIII; as such, Marie Anne was born during the reign of his first cousin, the 12-year-old Louis XIV. As a ''grand daughter of France'', Marie Anne was allowed the style of ''Royal Highness'' and was known as ''Mademoiselle de Chartres'' from birth. Élisabeth Charlotte d'Orléans (13 September 1676 – 23 December 1744) was a ''petite-fille de France'', and Duchess of Lorraine and Bar by marriage to Leopold, Duke of Lorraine. She was regent of Lorraine and Bar during the minority (1729–1730) and absence of her son (1730–1737), and ''suo jure'' Princess of Commercy 1737–1744. Among her children was Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, a co-founder (and patrilineal agnatic ancestor) of the royal House of Habsburg-Lorraine. Louise Adélaïde d'Orléans (Marie Louise Adélaïde; 13 August 1698 – 10 February 1743) was the second daughter of Philippe d'Orléans and Françoise Marie de Bourbon, a legitimised daughter of Louis XIV of France and his mistress, Madame de Montespan. She was an Abbess of Chelles. Early years Marie Louise Adélaïde d'Orléans was born at the Palace of Versailles on 13 August 1698.
