Skin Graft Records
Skin Graft Records (officially capitalized SKiN GRAFT Records) is an independent record label specializing in no wave and noise rock, originally based in Chicago, Illinois. The label is largely responsible for spawning "now wave" genre, an updated version of the late 1970s/early 1980s no wave movement. History In 1986, SKiN GRAFT was begun by Mark Fischer and Rob Syers as a small-scale publisher of bizarre comic books and fanzines. Some of its comics included ''The Kidz'' and ''Cynicalmanson''. The label's first record was released at the end of 1991. Founder Mark Fischer said of the label in 2000, "Skin Graft is a comic book company that puts out records. " The label's mascot is Hot Satan, a simply drawn cartoon devil, usually shown issuing the " heavy metal horns" hand sign. Fender Wide Range
The Fender Wide Range Humbucker is a humbucker guitar pickup, designed by Seth Lover for Fender in the early 1970s. This pickup was intended to break Fender's image as a "single coil guitar company", and to gain a foothold in the humbucker guitar market dominated by Gibson. The pickups enjoyed some popularity, though Fender's single-coil pickups retained their widespread popularity. Original Wide Range pickups were available from 1971 and subsequently installed in the Deluxe, Custom and Thinline Telecasters as well as the Starcaster, ceasing production successively in 1979 when these models were discontinued. Fender Japan were the first to introduce a reissue in 1983, followed by the Made in Mexico version around 1998. Eric Ethridge
Eric Ethridge is a Canadian country pop singer and songwriter. He was previously signed to Anthem Records, and has released one album '' Good with Me''. Early life Eric Ethridge was raised in Sarnia, Ontario and played football as a defensive end at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to pursuing a full-time career in music, Ethridge attended a chiropractic school in Toronto and worked as a chiropractor in Sarnia. Career Early career and self-titled EP In 2016, he won the Canadian Country Music Association's Discovery Award. In July 2018, he released his self-titled debut EP ''Eric Ethridge''. The single "Liquor's Callin' the Shots" reached the top 30 of Canadian country radio. In August 2018, he won the Grand Prize in the 2018 Unsigned Only Music Competition for his song "Girl On Fire". Manufacturing in Mexico grew rapidly in the late 1960s with the end of the US farm labor agreement known as the bracero program. This sent many unskilled farm laborers back into the Northern border region with no source of income. As a result, the US and Mexican governments agreed to The Border Industrialization Program, which permitted US companies to assemble product in Mexico using raw materials and components from the US with reduced duties. The Border Industrialization Program became known popularly as The Maquiladora Program or shortened to The Maquila Program. Over the years, simple assembly operations in Mexico have evolved into complex manufacturing operations including televisions, automobiles, industrial and personal products.
