Made In Germany 1995–2011 (tour)
Made in Germany 1995–2011 was a concert tour by German band Rammstein in support of the compilation album of the same name. The tour consists of two European legs in late 2011 and early 2012, one North American leg in mid-2012, and a final European leg in mid-2013 which mostly consisted of festivals and other open air shows. This tour marked the first time the band played in Ireland. Set lists Note: "Sehnsucht" was not performed in Zagreb, on November 8, 2011. Note: For the first three shows of the tour in Bratislava, Zagreb, and Budapest, "Pussy" was played after " Mann gegen Mann". "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?" and " Amerika" were switched around. " Engel" was played right before "Ich will" which ended the show. "Ohne dich" was played right before "Engel". Rammstein
Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch. After winning a local contest, Rammstein was able to record demos and send them to different record labels, eventually signing with Motor Music. "Bück dich" (; "Bend down," "Bend over") is a song by the Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein that first appeared on their second studio album, ''Sehnsucht'', and as one of the B-sides to the CD version of "Du hast". Live performance and controversy Despite being so popular, this song was never officially released as a single from the band, and never had an accompanying music video. However, the song is widely known by fans, primarily because of the live performance that accompanies it and is generally accepted as a fan favorite. When performing it live, vocalist Till Lindemann has simulated anal sex with keyboardist Christian Lorenz using a liquid squirting dildo. Christian Lorenz has confirmed in an interview that the dildo squirts a mixture of Pernod liqueur and water; however, bandmate Paul Landers claims it's water and Ouzo (both are anise liqueurs). ''Reise, Reise'' (; a German '' military wake-up call'', literally "(a)rise, (a)rise") is the fourth studio album by Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 27 September 2004 through Universal Music in Germany and followed shortly by its release across Europe. It was later released in North America through Republic Records on 16 November 2004. Recorded in a span of two years at El Cortijo Studios in Málaga, Spain, the album was produced by the band themselves along with Swedish record producer Jacob Hellner. The album charted in the top ten in several European charts and was a number one hit in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland, Finland, Estonia and Mexico. ''Sehnsucht'' (; "Desire") is the second studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 22 August 1997 through Motor Music in Europe and Slash Records in the United States. It is the only album entirely in German to be certified platinum by the RIAA in the US. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Austrian and German charts. In 2020, ''Metal Hammer'' included it in their list of top 10 1997 albums. Cover art The album booklet folds out to reveal six different covers, one for each band member (each photo depicting the member with vintage medical / surgical instruments). The cover most commonly seen shows Till Lindemann with a surgical metal wire utensil worn as a muzzle and surgical forks over his eyes. "Mein Herz brennt" (German for "My heart burns") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. The song first appeared as the opening track to the band's third studio album, '' Mutter'' (2001), and was used as the opening track for concerts during that era. It also appeared on the band's greatest hits album ''Made in Germany 1995–2011'' (2011), being the only song on the album that, at the time of release, had not been released as a single or had a music video. The song was released as a single in 2012 to promote the then-upcoming video collection ''Videos 1995–2012''. A piano version of the song was released as a single on 7 December 2012. "Benzin" (German, in English: Gasoline or Petrol) is a song by German industrial metal band Rammstein, released as the first single from their album ''Rosenrot''. In Germany, gasoline is called ''Benzin'' (which is derived from the chemical mixture benzine). The song uses the word "Gasolin", however the word does not exist in the German language, but it is an English word made German. There was, however, a German chain of gas stations called "Gasolin." Benzin was Rammstein's first number one single, getting to number one in Finland after its release in 2005. Music video In the video, Rammstein are firefighters. Ich Will
"Ich will" (German for "I Want") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein from their third studio album '' Mutter''. It was originally released in Germany on 10 September 2001, but many channels did not air the music video (which was to debut on U.S. television the next evening) as it was released the day before the September 11 attacks. The German single contains a live cover of the Ramones song "Pet Sematary" sung by Rammstein keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz. Music video The music video of "Ich will" features the band members staging a bank robbery, making it seem as realistic as possible. The video shows both the robbery and its aftermath, and moves between these two scenes. "Engel" (German for "Angel" or "Angels") is a song by German industrial metal band Rammstein. It was released in April 1997 as the first single from their second album, ''Sehnsucht''. The female part of song's chorus is sung by Christiane "Bobo" Hebold of the German pop band Bobo in White Wooden Houses. An English version of "Engel" can be found on US special editions of ''Sehnsucht''. According to an interview, keyboardist Christian Lorenz came up with the main riff for this song on a synthesizer along with a whistle melody. Music video While Lindemann, Schneider and Flake are in the audience, Paul Landers can be seen taking Schneider's place by playing the drums and Kruspe and Riedel are seen singing. Ohne Dich
"Ohne dich" ( "Without You") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released on 22 November 2004 as the third single from their fourth studio album, ''Reise, Reise'' (2004). Composition "Ohne dich" can be seen as expressing mourning over the loss of a loved person. It follows a slow, even romantic ballad style. The central motif is "Without you, I cannot be..., With you, I am alone also...". This song also features how death is not just mourning but a bond between the people that are there at the funeral. It's not all about death, it's about the remembrance of this person and how they brought everyone closer. The visuals play off what are called Heimatfilms and the reference to the birds no longer singing ("Und die Vögel singen nicht mehr") could refer also to the Wandervogel with a nostalgic feeling of loss of the freedom they embodied, which was manifested with ballads and nature wandering. Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?
''Herzeleid'' (; "Heartbreak") is the debut studio album by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, first released on 25 September 1995 via Motor Music. Production and writing After signing up with Motor Music, the band was instructed to search for a producer, a position they didn't even know about since it wasn't usual in East Germany. They first suggested Bob Rock and Rick Rubin, but the label asked them to be less ambitious. The role was ultimately assigned to Jacob Hellner, known for his work with Clawfinger. Guitarist Richard Kruspe recalls the band's struggle during their time in Stockholm, Sweden, where the album was recorded. Because there wasn't a language that both members and producer could speak, the band couldn't properly express their disapproval of the way Hellner was making them sound.
