Made Katib
Datuk Made anak Katib (23 January 1942 – 23 January 2013) was a Malaysian former Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Kuching. He held the position from 1996 until 2007. An ethnic Biatah Bidayuh, he was the first Bishop of the diocese to emerge from the Bidayuh Dayak community. Early life and education Born to the family of the late Katib anak Nanja and the late Nyang anak Janggok in Senah Negeri (what is now Kampung Annah Rais), Kuching, Sarawak, the former bishop was a British-trained priest who hailed from Padawan, Kuching. Before being ordained as a priest, the late Made studied at the University of Leeds, in Yorkshire, England. He took a general degree with three core subjects – English, History and Bible Knowledge and graduated in 1966. The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Mirfield
Mirfield () is a town and civil parish in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is on the A644 road between Brighouse and Dewsbury. At the 2011 census it had a population of 19,563. Mirfield forms part of the Heavy Woollen District. Governance From 1894 to 1974, Mirfield was an urban district in the West Riding of Yorkshire until it was merged into the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees. In 1988 a parish council was formed, one of five in Kirklees, the others being:- Denby Dale, Meltham, Kirkburton and Holme Valley. As a parish council an additional tax precept to the Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council tax is levied on the town's residents. Sarawak General Hospital
Sarawak General Hospital (Malay: ''Hospital Umum Sarawak'') is the largest hospital in the state of Sarawak, Malaysia. It is the main tertiary and referral hospital in East Malaysia. In its earlier years it was known as Kuching General Hospital. History Sarawak General Hospital has been in existence since 1870. However, no proper historical records have been preserved of its existence. The earliest record about the hospital is from 1910. Based from this documentation, the hospital was initially located at the current site of the Kuching Central Prison (later renamed into "Pavilion Building" and converted to Sarawak Textile Museum in 2000) and a total of 920 patients were admitted to the hospital during that year. Tun Pehin Sri Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Muhammad Salahuddin bin Abang Barieng (born Louis anak Barieng; ms, ابڠ محمد صلاح الدين بن ابڠ باريئڠ, label= Jawi, script=arab, italic=unset; 27 August 1921 – 28 January 2022) was a Malaysian politician who served as the third Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak from 1977 to 1981, and as the sixth Yang di-Pertua Negeri from 2001 to 2014. The ''Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak'' (Most Exalted Order of the Star of Sarawak) is the highest state order in the state of Sarawak. It is conferred to those who rendered excellent service towards the development of the state of Sarawak and Malaysia. The Order was established in 1964, a year after Sarawak's independence with the formation of Malaysia. The history of the order can be traced back to 1928, where a similar order named Order of the Star of Sarawak was established by the White Rajahs. However, the revived order has no connection with the previous order, except for the similarity of the name of the order. The motto of the Order is based on the state motto and the current one was adopted in 1988. The design of the order ribbon was changed twice, first in 1973 and again in 1988.
