Anjuman (actress)
Anjuman Shaheen ( ur, ), is a Pakistani film actress and singer. She was one of the most successful Punjabi film heroines of Pakistan during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. She was born in Bahawalpur. Anjuman's parents were from Ahmadpur East, settled in Multan where Anjuman was brought up. She later moved to Lahore. Career Her career spanned almost 20 years and she appeared in more than 300 films. She first appeared in the Urdu film, ''Soorath'' (1973) co-starring with Waseem Abbas, Afshan, Taj Niazi. Her last appearance was in ''Peengan'' (2000). ''Soorath'' was not a success. Her first major hit was ''Waadey Ki Zanjeer'' (1979). She had major roles in '' Sher Khan'' and ''Chan Varyam'' (1981) and played a supporting role in film ''Sala Sahib'' (1981). Cinema of Pakistan, popularly known as Lollywood ( ur, ), refers to the filmmaking industry in Pakistan. Pakistan is home to several film studios centres, primarily located in its three largest cities – Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad. Lollywood
Lollywood ( ur, , translit=lâli vuḍ) refers to Pakistan's film industry based in Lahore, previously the base for both Punjabi and Urdu language film production. Lahore has been the center of Pakistani cinema since the partition of India in 1947. However, with Urdu film hub largely shifting to Karachi by 2007, film industry in Lahore became synonymous with Pakistani Punjabi film Industry. Masood Akhtar
Syed Masood Akhtar (born 18 August 1946) is a former international cricketer who represented the American national side between 1979 and 1982. He was born in present-day India, and played first-class cricket in Pakistan before emigrating to the United States. Akhtar was born in Delhi, but moved to Pakistan after partition. The Nigar Awards ( ur, , translit=Inʿām Negār, lit=Picture Awards) were presented in an annual award show to recognize outstanding achievement in Pakistani cinema. The honors are awarded by Nigar Magazine founded in 1948. The Nigar Awards are Pakistan's version of the Academy Awards. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists.
