Mad About You (Belinda Carlisle Song)
"Mad About You" is the debut solo single by American singer Belinda Carlisle. It was written by Paula Jean Brown, James Whelan and Mitchel Young Evans, and produced by Michael Lloyd for Carlisle's debut solo album ''Belinda''. The single was released in 1986 as a CD single (one of the first ever marketed), 7-inch single and a 12-inch single. It was her first hit after leaving the Go-Go's, peaking at number three on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 (where it was on the chart for 21 weeks) and at number one on the Canadian Singles Chart. Just over three weeks before the single was released, Carlisle married Morgan Mason, who appears with Belinda in the video for "Mad About You". The guitar solo on the song was performed by Andy Taylor (of Duran Duran), who also appears in the video. Paula Jean Brown (who joined the Go-Go’s as bass guitarist following Jane Wiedlin’s departure) co-wrote the song with Jim Whelan, and Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey sang back-up vocals. Mad About You (Hooverphonic Song)
"Mad About You" is a song by the Belgian band Hooverphonic, released as the lead single from their third studio album, ''The Magnificent Tree'' (2000). "Mad About You" is often considered the band's masterpiece and its biggest worldwide success. The song features a sweeping string arrangement that typifies the trip hop genre. It is also similar in style to a Bond-style film theme, with its dramatic orchestration and lyrics. The song is about a forbidden love, an idea also conveyed in the video, with the lyrics of "Can someone tell me if it's wrong to be so mad about you?". In an interview with MNM, Alex Callier revealed that the inspiration for the song came from his encounters with Cathy Dennis, who he had first met at a songwriting camp in 1998 where they had had a disagreement over ''fishy wine'', and he also recalled a wild car ride with her through London, occasionally ''driving in the wrong lane''. Anecdotes that ended up being referenced in the lyrics of Mad About You. U ...

Mindfields
''Mindfields'' is the tenth studio album (though counted as the 11th album overall — ''see Toto XIV)'' by the American rock music, rock band Toto (band), Toto. It was released on November 16, 1999. ''Mindfields'' saw the return of vocalist Bobby Kimball, who had departed the band following the 1982 album ''Toto IV''. Reception The album received mixed reviews from critics. Michael Gallucci of AllMusic wrote: "Overlong, overwrought, and devoid of personality, this incredibly dull world-view update of Toto's crassly professional sound manages to pillage several cultures at once without contributing a single song worth remembering. The playing is tight -- as you would expect from a bunch of studio session musicians -- but all the skills in the world can't liven these 14 plodding tracks." Track listing 1999 Release 1 On some copies of the album, a longer version of "High Price of Hate" was used clocking in at 9:49. 2 Bonus track on North American and Japanese versions of ...
