Macquarie Centre is a shopping centre in the suburb of Macquarie Park on the North Shore of Sydney and is located opposite the main campus of Macquarie University. Transport The Metro North West Line offers frequent services to Macquarie University station directly next to Macquarie Centre with trains running from Tallawong to Chatswood. Macquarie Centre has bus connections to the Sydney CBD, North Shore and Northern Sydney, as well as local surrounding suburbs. The Sydney Region Outline Plan (SROP) was a land use and infrastructure scheme for metropolitan New South Wales released by the State Planning Authority in March 1968. The SROP superseded the 1948 County of Cumberland planning scheme.
