Maci (medical Treatment)
Autologous cultured chondrocytes on porcine collagen membrane (Maci) is a treatment to correct cartilage defects in the knee. It is used to treat symptomatic, full-thickness cartilage defects of the knee with or without bone involvement. Autologous cultured chondrocytes on porcine collagen membrane is an autologous cellularized scaffold product. This treatment is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is only administered to adults. Healthy cartilage is removed from the person's own knees and a 'scaffold' is created on which the healthy tissue growths. This is an autologous matrix-induced chondrogenesis procedure which prevents tissue rejection complications since the transplanted cartilage comes from the same person. Maci Bookout McKinney (born Maci DeShane Bookout, August 10, 1991) is an American reality television personality, author, and public speaker. Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she received public attention after being cast in the reality television series '' 16 and Pregnant'' in 2009, which documented the pregnancies and first months of motherhood for several young women. Later that year she was cast in the spin-off series ''Teen Mom'', and appeared in each of its four seasons until its conclusion in 2012. In March 2015, Bookout, along with Catelynn Baltierra, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham, returned to MTV for the fifth season of the show, renamed ''Teen Mom OG''. Maci (politician)
Maci (1652–1739) was a Manchu Bordered Yellow Banner court official who lived in the Qing dynasty. He was from the Fuca clan, and was the eldest son of Mishan (米思翰). Maci served as Ministry of War from 1691 to 1694, and Ministry of Revenue from 1692 to 1701. He was also a member of Grand Secretariat during Kangxi Emperor's reign, and was an important supporter of the 8th Prince Yinsi (Yunsi). In 1708, Maci, Tong Guowei (佟國維), Alingga (阿靈阿) and Olondai (鄂倫岱) proposed designating Yinsi as Crown Prince but was refused by the emperor. He was stripped of his official position and forced into house arrest. Maci returned to politics after Yongzheng Emperor ascended the throne. He sat on the emperor's top advisory board along with Yunsi, Yunxiang, and Longkodo. He retired in 1735, and died in 1739.
