David Macht
David Israel Macht (February 14, 1882 – October 14, 1961) was a pharmacologist and Doctor of Hebrew Literature, responsible for many contributions to pharmacology during the first half of the 20th century. Born in Moscow in 1882, Macht moved to Baltimore in 1892, age 10. He was awarded a bachelor's and a medical degree by Johns Hopkins University in 1905, and took postgraduate courses in Berlin, Munich and Vienna. He returned to America in 1909 to join the teaching staff at Johns Hopkins. He rose to the position of assistant professor, lecturing in pharmacology from 1912 to 1932. His grandson, Kenneth Lasson, would later report that at that time Johns Hopkins had a faculty quota limiting the number of Jewish staff that could proceed to full faculty. Gabriel Swann Macht (born January 22, 1972) is an American actor and film producer, known for portraying Harvey Specter in the USA Network series '' Suits'' (2011–2019) and the title character in the 2008 superhero film ''The Spirit''. Early life Macht was born in The Bronx, New York City, to Jewish parents. He is the son of Suzanne Victoria Pulier, a museum curator and archivist, and actor Stephen Macht. He has three siblings: Jesse, a musician (who appeared on '' The Next Great American Band''), Ari Serbin, and Julie. Macht was raised in California from the age of five. After graduating from Beverly Hills High School, he attended Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts, where he graduated in 1994. Michael Macht (born 28 August 1960) was the board of management member in charge of production with the German carmaker Volkswagen. Macht was formerly CEO of the management board at Porsche where he was appointed chairman of the Porsche AG and Porsche Automobil Holding executive board on 23 July 2009 and also served on the board of Porsche SE. Macht was succeeded at Porsche by Matthias Müller, who had previously been in charge of product strategy at VW. On August 1, 2014, Macht resigned as group production chief and left Volkswagen.
