''Machete Kills'' (also known as ''Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills'') is a 2013 American action exploitation film directed by Robert Rodriguez, with a screenplay by Kyle Ward, from a story by Robert and Marcel Rodriguez. Based on the eponymous character from the ''Spy Kids'' franchise, it is a sequel to ''Machete'' (2010), and is the third film based on a fake trailer in ''Grindhouse'' (2007).
