Machang Bubok ( Jawi: ماڅڠ بوبوق) is a new village in Central Seberang Perai District, Penang, Malaysia. As of date November 2011, the Machang Bubok village has 2134 people and 85% of the population consists of Chinese. About 12% of them are Malays and less than 3% are Indians. The major language spoken in this village is Hakka. This village has about 421 houses. Many city dwellers visit this village during holidays and festive seasons because the air is fresher and the food is delicious and inexpensive. Jawi or Djawi or Djaui, is a moribund language, nearly extinct dialect of the Bardi language of Western Australia, the traditional language of the Jawi people. There are no longer any known fluency, fluent speakers, but there may be some partial speakers. The name has also been spelt Chowie, Djaoi, Djau, Dyao, and Dyawi. Democratic Action Party
The Democratic Action Party (abbreviation: DAP; ms, Parti Tindakan Demokratik; ; ta, ஜனநாயக செயல் கட்சி) is a Centre-left politics, centre-left social democracy, social democratic political party in Malaysia. Bukit Mertajam
Bukit Mertajam ( Jawi:بوكيت مرتاجم) is the administrative centre of the city of Seberang Perai in Penang, Malaysia. It also serves as the seat of the Central Seberang Perai District. , Bukit Mertajam (core) contains a total of 13,097 residents. Whilst founded in the 19th century as an agricultural area, Bukit Mertajam also evolved into a transportation hub, following the completion of a railway line towards Perai at the end of the century. To this day, its railway station remains a major Malayan Railway station within Seberang Perai. Bukit Mertajam is also well known for its Catholic congregation, which is centred at the St. Anne's Church. Jawi (; ace, Jawoë; Kelantan-Pattani: ''Yawi''; ) is a writing system used for writing several languages of Southeast Asia, such as Acehnese, Banjarese, Kerinci, Maguindanaon, Malay, Minangkabau, Tausūg, and Ternate. Penang State Legislative Assembly
The Penang State Legislative Assembly is the legislature of the Malaysian state of Penang. It is a unicameral institution, consisting of a total of 40 elected lawmakers representing single-member constituencies throughout Penang. The state legislature, whose members are called State Assemblymen, convenes at the Penang State Assembly Building in Penang's capital city of George Town. The Penang State Executive Council, the executive branch of the Penang state government, is drawn from among the State Assemblymen. Steven Sim Chee Keong (; born 13 May 1982) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Finance II in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Mertajam since May 2013.
