Macarthur Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in South Western Sydney, New South Wales. It competes in Australia's premier soccer competition, the A-League, under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). On 13 December 2018, it was announced that the club would be accepted into the A-League as part of the new expansion process. Aleksandar Šušnjar ( sr-cyrl, Александар Шушњар, born 19 August 1995) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Macarthur FC in the A-League. Club career Born in Perth, Šušnjar made his senior debut in Europe, playing with Lithuanian side Ekranas in A Lyga seasons 2013 and 2014. Aleksandar Jovanović ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Јовановић, ; born 4 August 1989) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Bengaluru FC. The Dharawal people, also spelt Tharawal and other variants, are an Aboriginal Australian people, identified by the Dharawal language. Western Sydney Stadium, commercially known as CommBank Stadium, is a multi-purpose rectangular stadium in Parramatta, within the Greater Western Sydney region, approximately west of Sydney CBD.
