Mac Q. Williamson
Mac Q. Williamson, born in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska on October 13, 1889, was the son of Thomas J. (1845-1909) and Susan E. (nee McQuiddy) Williamson (1849-1919) Mac Q. Williamson moved with his family to Oklahoma City in 1905. They settled in Pauls Valley in 1906. He was admitted to the first class of the University of Oklahoma College of Law, then known as the Oklahoma University Law School, where he graduated in 1910. He became a member of the Oklahoma Bar in 1913. In 1914, he ran for Pauls Valley city attorney and won the position. In 1920, he ran for and won the Garvin County attorney position. He was reelected to the same job two years later. He was elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 1925, where he served until 1932. During 1928, he also served as President Pro Tempore for a year. In 1932, he ran for his first statewide office and won as Attorney General for the State of Oklahoma. Reelected seven times, he remained in this office until he retired in 1963. Nebraska City is a city in Nebraska, and the county seat of, Otoe County, Nebraska, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 7,289. The Nebraska State Legislature has credited Nebraska City as being the oldest incorporated city in the state, as it was the first approved by a special act of the Nebraska Territorial Legislature in 1855. Otoe County, Nebraska
Otoe County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 15,740. Its county seat is Nebraska City. The county was formed in 1854, and was named tor the Otoe Indian tribe. In the Nebraska license plate system, Otoe County is represented by the prefix 11 (it had the 11th-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922). Geography Otoe County lies on the east side of Nebraska. Its east boundary line abuts the west boundary lines of the states of Iowa and Missouri (across the Missouri River). The terrain of Otoe County consists of rolling hills which drop down to the river basin, and rich soil. The area is largely devoted to agriculture (corn, soybeans, milo, wheat, and fruit orchards). Garvin County, Oklahoma
Garvin County is a county in south-central Oklahoma, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 27,576. Its county seat is Pauls Valley. In 1906, delegates to Constitution Convention formed Garvin County from part of the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. The county was named for Samuel J. Garvin, a local Chickasaw rancher, merchant and banker. Its economy is largely based on farming, ranching and oil production.
