Mac McCutcheon (Alabama Politician)
Chester Clarence McCutcheon III (born July 15, 1952) is the speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives. He is a Republican who was first elected to the state legislature in 2006. He was elected Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives on August 15, 2016. He was re-elected Speaker of the House on January 8, 2019. McCutcheon has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice administration from Trinity University. He was a police officer in Huntsville, Alabama prior to his election to the state legislature. He has also worked as a farmer and is a member of College Park Church of God. The Alabama State House of Representatives is the lower house of the Alabama Legislature, the state legislature of state of Alabama. The House is composed of 105 members representing an equal number of districts, with each constituency containing at least 42,380 citizens. There are no term limits in the House.
