Maasi (film)
''Maasi'' is a 2012 Tamil-language action film written and directed by G. Kicha and produced by Kovai Mani. This film stars Arjun Sarja and Archana Gupta in the lead roles, while Dheena composed the music. The film released after much delay on 16 March 2012 and received negative reviews from critics. Premise Inspector Maasilamani alias "Maasi" is an encounter specialist who gets entangled in gang-wars between Naaga and Nandha. Due to the gang wars, Maasi loses his family, where he decide to payback Naaga and Nanda's gang-wars and also eradicate all gangsters in the city of Chennai. Kicha (director)
Kicha is an Indian film director, who has directed Tamil films. After making his debut in 1996 with ''Nethaji'', he has gone on to make other ventures including ''Thee'' and ''Maasi''. Career He began his career with ''Nethaji'' (1996), before re-emerging in the 2000s with a series of low budget films. Bala Singh
Bala Singh (7 May 195227 November 2019) was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil language films. After making his debut in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995), he appeared as the antagonist in over a hundred films. Early life and career Bala Singh was born in Kaliyakkavilai, near Marthandam in Kanyakumari District. Bala Singh initially began his career featuring in stage plays and trained with the National School of Drama, before being handed his first film role in Nassar's '' Avatharam'' (1995). He played the role of the chief antagonist, Baasi, an expelled troupe member and won critical acclaim for his performance in the film. Yugabharathi
Yugabharathi is a Tamil poet and lyricist. His birth name was "Santhanam Desan" and he was known as "Santhanam" by his family and friends. During the early 1990s when he began writing poems for magazines he started using the pen name "Yugabharathi" in honour of the great Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathi, commonly known as Mahakavi Bharithiyar. Debuting in the film ''Aanandham'' with lyrics for the song "Pallankuzhiyin vattam parthaen", he has become a successful lyricist penning more than 1000 songs.
