Ma Chambre
"Ma chambre" (meaning "My Room") is a song recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion. It was written by Jean-Pierre Ferland and Daniel Mercure, and produced by Jean-Alain Roussel. "Ma chambre" was included as B-side on singles released from ''Incognito'' in Canada in 1987. In 1988, it was featured on the ''Incognito'' album issued in France. Although not released as a single, radio stations started playing it on 31 August 1987 and on 12 September 1987 the song entered the chart in Quebec, spending five weeks on it and peaking at number thirty-eight. During the 1998 Gala de l'ADISQ, Dion performed the song live, sharing the stage with Ferland. Carrere Records (french: Disques Carrère, link=no, ) was a French record label which specialized in Euro disco and rock music. The record company was sold to Warner Music Group in the early 1990s. Early days Claude Carrere started working with Annie Chancel in 1962 and renamed her Sheila, who remained his sole artist for a while. He set up Carrere Productions and the records were distributed by Philips Records. In the late 1960s, he created Disques Carrere. In 1972, he produced and distributed his own releases. Jean-Pierre Ferland, (born June 24, 1934, in Montreal, Quebec) is a Canadian singer and songwriter. Life and career Ferland began work with Radio-Canada in 1956 as an accountant, but his career there was short lived. Shortly after, he began taking guitar lessons with Stephen Fentock and began to fall in love with music, writing his first musical pieces. After two years of work with Radio-Canada, in February 1958, he began recording the first songs that would eventually comprise his first album '' Jean-Pierre''. However, it was not until 1961 that he became known to the public, with the release of his second album, '' Rendez-vous à La Coda''. From 1962 to 1970, Ferland spent much time in Europe (mainly in France and Belgium), writing music and recording albums, as well as performing at a multitude of venues, including shows in Olympia and Bobino.
