M Kunjikannan
Mavilodan Kunjikannan ( ml, മാവിലോടന് കുഞ്ഞികണ്ണന്) (3 March 1926 – 30 June 2010), popularly known as Kunjikannan Mash or Kunjikannan Master, was a journalist, Gandhian, and educational and social activist among tribals in Wayanad district of Kerala, India. He wrote for the Malayalam language newspaper '' Mathrubhumi'' starting in 1970. Kannur
Kannur (), formerly known in English as Cannanore, is a city and a municipal corporation in the state of Kerala, India. It is the administrative headquarters of the Kannur district and situated north of the major port city and commercial hub Kochi and south of the major port city and a commercial hub, Mangalore. The followers of Mahatma Gandhi, the greatest figure of the Indian independence movement, are called Gandhians. Wayanad District
Wayanad () is a district in the north-east of Indian state Kerala with administrative headquarters at the municipality of Kalpetta. It is the only plateau in Kerala. The Wayanad Plateau forms a continuation of the Mysore Plateau, the southern portion of Deccan Plateau. It is set high in the Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 meters. Vellari Mala, a high peak situated on the trijunction of Wayanad, Malappuram, and Kozhikode districts, is the highest point in Wayanad district. The district was formed on 1 November 1980 as the 12th district in Kerala, by carving out areas from Kozhikode and Kannur districts. An area of 885.92 km2 of the district is forested. ''Mathrubhumi'' is a Malayalam newspaper that is published from Kerala, India. It was founded by K. P. Kesava Menon, an active volunteer in the Indian independence movement, Indian freedom struggle against the British Raj, British. The word "Mathrubhumi" translates to 'mother land'. Thrissur (), formerly Trichur, also known by its historical name Thrissivaperur, is a city and the headquarters of the Thrissur district in Kerala, India.
