The MTV Russia Music Awards made its debut in 2004 and have celebrated local Russian talent as well as International. VIA Gra ( uk, ВИА Гра), known outside of Ukraine and other nearby countries as Nu Virgos, is a Ukrainian girl group. The name VIA Gra is a triple wordplay; it is an allusion to the drug Viagra, the first three letters "ВИА" ("VIA") also stand for " vocal-instrumental ensemble" in Ukrainian, and "Гра" ("hra") means "game" or "play" in Ukrainian, and is also a kind of signature of the surnames of the two first girls of the group, VI-nnytsk-A and GR-anovsk-A, the originally used maiden name of Nadia Meiher. Nu Virgos rose to prominence when they hit the charts in Ukraine and Russia in September 2000, with their first single "''Popytka No. 5''" ("Attempt No. 5"). Uma2rman (previously ''Umaturman'', ''Uma2rmaH'') is a Russian pop rock band made up of two brothers, Sergei and Vladimir Kristovsky. They have been active since 2003, releasing their first album "V Gorode N" in 2004. Andrey Vyacheslavovich Lysikov (born 29 September 1971 in Moscow) is a Russian musical artist, singer, songwriter, poet and rapper, known by his stage name Dolphin (or Дельфин). He won the award of best artist at the 2004 MTV Russian Music Awards. He also played at the Live 8 Russia concert. Biography Dolphin's musical career started in 1992 when he joined the infamous Russian boy's band of the 90's – "Malchyshnik" ("Stag Do"). Zveri (''Beasts''; russian: Звери) is a Russian rock band. Biography Zveri was formed in mid 2002 by Roman Bilyk, the lead singer of the band, better known as Roma Zver'. The band was named after his nickname. He was soon joined by Maksim Leonov on guitars, Kostya Labezkiy on the bass, Kirill Antonenko on keyboards and Misha Kraev on the drums and the group began work on their debut album Golod (Hunger), released in February 2003.
