The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin has been awarded since 2020. During the 2010s, the award show implemented the first Latin categories since the ceremony of 2013, including regional categories and the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin American Act, Best Latin American Act (continental category) being the predecessor of Best Latin. It's one of the current Latin categories of the ceremony along with MTV Europe Music Award for Best Caribbean Act, Best Caribbean, Latin America MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin America North Act, North, MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin America South Act, South and MTV Europe Music Award for Best Latin America Central Act, Central Act. 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards
The 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards were planned to take place on 5 November 2023 at the Paris Nord Villepinte in Paris, France. The ceremony was cancelled on 19 October due to the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, becoming the first EMAs to be cancelled in its history.
