MOBO Awards 2022
The 25th MOBO Awards were held on 30 November 2022 at the Wembley Arena in London, to recognize achievements in "music of black origin" during 2022. The ceremony was hosted by internet personalities Chunkz and Yung Filly, and was live-streamed through YouTube. The nominees were announced on 11 November 2022, introducing two new categories, Best Alternative Music Act and Best Electronic/Dance Act. For the first time, the Album of the Year award was given to two artists, Little Simz and Knucks. British music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards received the Paving the Way Award as a posthumous honour to recognize his contributions in helping various artists to launch their careers. Sonia Marina Clarke (born 21 June 1965), better known by her stage name Sonique, is a British singer, musician and DJ. Sweet Female Attitude is an electronic music act from Manchester, England. They are known for the UK garage remix by Sunship of their track "Flowers", written by Martin Green a.k.a. Eliza Rose
Eliza Rose (born 28 November 1991) is an English DJ, music producer and singer. Born in the East End of London, Rose grew up in Dalston and began working at the Flashback record shop when she was 14 years old. A fan of soul and jazz music, she sang from her youth, and began DJing in her late teens, once she had enough money to buy records, seeing it as a way to acquire more music. She attended college and university, and also took courses in music production. She presents a radio show for The Vinyl Factory, and recorded collaborations with a variety of other artists. Kwadwo Adu Genfi Amponsah (born 4 January 1993), known professionally as Kojey Radical, is a British music artist, creative director and mixed media visual artist.
