Man-machine Interface
In the industrial design field of human–computer interaction, a user interface (UI) is the space where interactions between humans and machines occur. The goal of this interaction is to allow effective operation and control of the machine from the human end, while the machine simultaneously feeds back information that aids the operators' decision-making process. Examples of this broad concept of user interfaces include the interactive aspects of computer operating systems, hand tools, heavy machinery operator controls and process controls. The design considerations applicable when creating user interfaces are related to, or involve such disciplines as, ergonomics and psychology. Miami Military Institute
The Miami Military Institute (MMI) was a military college located in Germantown, Ohio, which operated between 1894 and 1933. The school's parade grounds were on the current location of the Veteran's park in Germantown. History In 1885, Orvon Graff Brown leased a propriety in Germantown and used it to establish Twin Valley College and Ohio Conservatory of Music. In 1894 the music program was dropped in favor of military studies. The school operated until closing its doors in 1934, due to the drop in enrollment due to the Great Depression. Almost 150 cadets of the academy served in World War I, more than half of them as commissioned officers. Seven of these cadets died in the conflict. Muslim Mosque, Inc. (MMI) was an Islamic organization formed by Malcolm X after he left the Nation of Islam. MMI was a relatively small group that collapsed after its founder was assassinated. Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI) occurs when an injured employee reaches a state where their condition cannot be improved any further or when a treatment plateau in a person’s healing process is reached. It can mean that the patient has fully recovered from the injury or that the patient’s medical condition has stabilized to the point that no major medical or emotional change can be expected in the injured workers’ condition. At that point, no further healing or improvement is deemed possible and this occurs despite continuing medical treatment or rehabilitative programs the injured worker partakes in. When a worker who is receiving Workers' Compensation benefits reaches maximum medical improvement, his or her condition is assessed and a degree of permanent or partial impairment is determined.
