Hackathon
A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest, datathon or codefest; a portmanteau of hacking and marathon) is an event where people engage in rapid and collaborative engineering over a relatively short period of time such as 24 or 48 hours. They are often run using agile software development practices, such as sprint-like design wherein computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers, product managers, project managers, domain experts, and others collaborate intensively on engineering projects, such as software engineering. The goal of a hackathon is to create functioning software or hardware by the end of the event. Hackathons tend to have a specific focus, which can include the programming language used, the operating system, an application, an API, or the subject and the demographic group of the programmers. Multi-line Hunting
In telephony, line hunting (or hunt group) is the method of distributing phone calls from a single telephone number to a group of several phone lines. Specifically, it refers to the process or algorithm used to select which line will receive the call. Hunt groups are supported by some PBX phone systems. Also, some phone companies will provide this feature for a small fee (see also: Centrex). In the tariffs of some telephone companies, one may obtain hunting for free, but forward on busy is a charged service. Allan Cup Hockey
Allan Cup Hockey (ACH), formerly Major League Hockey until 2011, is the top tier Canadian senior ice hockey league in the province of Ontario. Founded in 1990, as the Southwestern Senior "A" Hockey League, the ACH is a member of the Ontario Hockey Association and Hockey Canada. The ACH's champion contends for the Allan Cup each year. The league came to its latest incarnation when it lost several teams leaving it with two and as a result it merged with the Eastern Ontario Senior Hockey League in 2008. Mill Hill (Lancashire) Railway Station
Mill Hill railway station serves Mill Hill in the Blackburn with Darwen borough in Lancashire, England. It is west of Blackburn railway station. It is an island platformed station managed by Northern. It was opened by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway in 1884, almost forty years after the line itself. It is unstaffed, with no permanent buildings other than basic shelters on the platform. Digital information screens and a P.A system are installed to give intending passengers train running information. As of January 2018, along with other stations on this line, a new touch screen ticket machine was added to the Station. It has no step-free disabled access, with an entrance down a single flight of stairs from street level. From the street level above there are also direct bus services to Blackburn town centre.
