Masi, Norway
or or is a village in Kautokeino Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located along the river Kautokeinoelva, about south of the town of Alta and about north of the village of Kautokeino. The village is made up predominantly of Sami people, and both the Sami and Norwegian names of the village ("Máze" and "Masi") are officially recognized. Since the 17th century, the village has been the site of Masi Church. The present church building was built after World War II to replace the previous church which the Germans had burned down. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, the Norwegian government considered building a dam on the local river for the proposed Alta Hydroelectric Power Station which would have flooded the village. Masi are glutinous rice balls with a peanut and ''muscovado'' filling from Cebu, Philippines. It is made from sweetened '' galapong'' (ground soaked glutinous rice) shaped into little balls with a filling of chopped roasted peanuts and ''muscovado'' or brown sugar. It is then boiled in water until it floats. It can also be steamed. It is traditionally sold wrapped in banana leaves. ''Masi'' can be modified to use different fillings, like chocolate or peanut butter. Coconut milk may also be used to give the dough a creamier flavor. ''Masi'' is sometimes anglicized as peanut rice balls. ''Masi'' is related to the Tagalog ''mache'' and the Kapampangan '' moche'', which are prepared similarly. Masi Oka
is a Japanese actor, producer, and digital effects artist who became widely known for starring in NBC's '' Heroes'' as Hiro Nakamura and in CBS's '' Hawaii Five-0'' as Doctor Max Bergman. Early life Oka was born in Tokyo, Japan, to Setsuko Oka. His parents divorced when he was one month old; he was raised in a single parent family and has never met his father. He was six years old when his mother and he moved to Los Angeles from Japan. At age eight, he appeared on the CBS-TV game show '' Child's Play''. In 1987, a 12-year-old Oka was featured as one of several children on the cover of ''Time'' magazine, for the article "Those Asian-American Whiz Kids." Masi Bicycles is a manufacturer of road, track, cyclocross and commuter bicycles based in Vista, California, United States. History Faliero Masi commenced making bicycle frames at the Velodromo Vigorelli in Milan in the 1950s, after a career as a semi-professional racer and team mechanic. In 1973 his son Alberto took over the Vigorelli shop. Faliero and two assistants went to the US and began production at a new facility in Carlsbad, California after selling the "Cicli Masi" name and trademark to an American businessman, Roland Sahm. Sisu SA-150
Sisu SA-150 is a medium-size, two-axle off-road lorry made by the Finnish heavy vehicle manufacturer Oy Sisu-Auto Ab from 1982 until 1991. The four-wheel-drive lorry with load capacity of 6 400 kg was developed for pulling of heavy cannons of the Finnish Defence Forces. Development Based on experience from Sisu A-45 and due to new, heavier cannons, there came a need for stronger vehicles in the Finnish Defence Forces. Due to this, Sisu-Auto started a development project of an entirely new medium size off-road lorry. The engineering work began in 1978 in the main office of Sisu-Auto located then in Fleming Street, Helsinki. The project manager was Seppo Kokkola, the head engineer of the company. The other members were Kari Lindholm, Veli Vallinoja, Uoti Hartikainen and Kalevi Kakko who were the most notable engineers of Sisu-Auto.
