M2 Cycleway
The M2 cycleway is a predominantly on road cycleway generally aligned with the M2 motorway in the Hills District of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The north-western terminus of the cycleway is in and the eastern terminus is in North Ryde. As the M2 does not have a separate cycle lane or path, the cycleway comprises the breakdown lane of the roadway. Route Cycling access was removed in 2010 during construction work to upgrade the M2. During that time, cyclists were required to use an alternate route on suburban streets that was longer, steeper and slower. The design of the alternative route was criticised due to safety concerns. In August 2013 access was restored westbound from Delhi Road to Windsor Road. Citybound access was restored only for the section from Windsor Road to Pennant Hills Road due to work to stabilise the embankment near the eastbound lanes at Marsfield. Cumberland Highway
The Cumberland Highway is a long urban highway located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The highway links the Pacific Highway (A1/B83) and Pacific Motorway ( M1) at Pearces Corner, Wahroonga in the northeast with the Hume Highway (A22/A28) at Liverpool in the southwest. The entire length of Cumberland Highway is designated route A28. The name of the highway is derived from the Cumberland Plain and Cumberland County. The name ''Cumberland'' was conferred on the County by Governor Arthur Phillip in honour of Ernest Augustus, Duke of Cumberland. NorthConnex
NorthConnex is a twin-tube motorway tunnel in northern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, opened on 31 October 2020. It acts as a tunnel bypass of the congested Pennant Hills Road, connecting the M1 Pacific Motorway to the M2 Hills Motorway. Owned by NorthWestern Roads (NWR) Group, it is one of the longest road tunnels in Australia along with the M8 Tunnel. It is also the deepest road tunnel in Australia, with more than half of the tunnel deep or more, and the deepest point is underneath the Sydney Metro Northwest, about below ground. Marsfield is a suburb in the Northern Sydney region of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Transurban is a road operator company that manages and develops urban toll road networks in Australia, Canada and the United States. It is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Gore Hill And Epping Road Cycleways
The Gore Hill and Epping Road cycleways is a conjoined shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians, and an on road cycleway located in the lower north shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The eastern terminus of the cycleway is in Naremburn, while the western terminus is in North Ryde. Route The eastern terminus of the cycleway is at Merrenburn Avenue, Naremburn. The eastern segment of the conjoined cycleway, opened in 2007, follows the direction of the Gore Hill Freeway, west to Willoughby Road where it proceeds over Willoughby Road on a shared pedestrian and cycleway bridge. A3 (Sydney)
The A3 is a major metropolitan arterial route in Sydney, formerly designated Metroad 3. The A3 runs from its intersection with the A8 at Mona Vale at the north end, to the southerly of its two intersections with the A1, Princes Highway, at Blakehurst. The highest speed limit on the A3 is on Mona Vale Road. It is a major connector between most of the major radial routes emanating from central Sydney, and a major link between the northern and southern parts of the Sydney tolled orbital freeway.
