''Mästerdetektiven Blomkvist på nya äventyr'' is a 1966 Swedish film about Kalle Blomkvist, directed by Etienne Glaser and written by Astrid Lindgren. It is based on the play '' Kalle Blomkvist, Nisse Nöjd och Vicke på Vind''. Plot The White Rose (Kalle, Anders, Eva-Lotta) and the Red Rose (Sixten, Benka, Jonte) are fighting for a magical stone, called the Stormumriken. One day Kalle and Sixten test their strengths and fight against each other, while Anders, Eva-Lotta, Benka and Jonte are watching and cheering. Policeman Rudolf Rask comes by and interrupts the fight. He tells the teenagers to stop fighting and the friends disappear. Later, Rask talks to Kalle's rich aunts Hilda and Hulda Krikonblad. He promises to make sure the sisters are safe. When the sisters are looking at a shop window, Kalle pranks them by knotting their ropes together. Astrid Lindgren’s plays are a number of theater plays written by Astrid Lindgren in the 1940s to 1970s. Part of the plays are based on her books, other stories were only written for theater. Since almost all of Astrid Lindgren's works have been staged for theater, this page only deals with the plays, whose scripts were written by Astrid Lindgren. The STEN (or Sten gun) is a family of British submachine guns chambered in 9×19mm which were used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II and the Korean War. They had a simple design and very low production cost, making them effective insurgency weapons for resistance groups, and they continue to see usage to this day by irregular military forces. The Sten served as the basis for the Sterling submachine gun, which replaced the Sten in British service until the 1990s, when it, and all other submachine guns, were replaced by the SA80.
