Mylo Xyloto (comics)
''Mylo Xyloto'' is a comic book series created by British rock band Coldplay and filmmaker Mark Osborne. It ties into (and tells the story of) the Coldplay album ''Mylo Xyloto''. Publication history On 10 July 2012 the Coldplay website announced a six-part ''Mylo Xyloto'' comic, with the first issue to be released at that week's Comic-Con. Published by Bongo Comics, the story followed the tale of Mylo, a 'Silencer', who, in the words of co-writer Mark Osborne (filmmaker), is a part of a "war against sound and colour". Together with Osborne, Dylan Haggerty also writes the comic (starting in the second issue) with art by Alejandro Fuentes. Mark Osborne (filmmaker)
Mark Randolph Osborne (born September 17, 1970) is an American film director, writer, producer and animator. Biography Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Osborne grew up in Woodstock, Vermont until at age 14 he moved to Flemington, New Jersey and graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in 1988. He began his career by studying Foundation Art at Pratt Institute in New York before receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts in June 1992. His thesis film, ''Greener'', won numerous awards and was screened at more than 40 film festivals worldwide. Alejandro Javiero Fuentes (born 5 November 1987 in Chile) is a Norwegian singer. He rose to prominence after finishing third in Norwegian Idol's third season in 2005. Later in 2005, he released the album ''Diamonds and Pearls'', which reached gold by the end of the year. ''Mylo Xyloto'' (pronounced ) is the fifth studio album by British rock band Coldplay, released on 24 October 2011. The band worked closely with producer Brian Eno following their successful collaboration on ''Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends'' (2008), the band's previous album. ''Mylo Xyloto'' is a concept album and a thematic rock opera.
