My Life As An Animal
''My Life as an Animal'' is a British reality television series broadcast on BBC Three and presented by Rebecca Wilcox. In each episode, two volunteers spend four days with a different species of animal, living how they live in an attempt to be accepted by the animals as one of them. They also find out how to communicate with the animals and see their entire life cycle. They are guided by wildlife expert Terry Nutkins. Rebecca Wilcox
Rebecca Wilcox (born 10 January 1980) is an English television presenter, mainly for the BBC. Early life The middle of three children born to journalist and television presenter Esther Rantzen and producer Desmond Wilcox, she has an older sister, Emily, and younger brother, Josh. Wilcox was educated at Queen's College, London and Somerville College, Oxford, where she gained a degree in English Language and Literature. Career Wilcox started as a television researcher, and then became an assistant producer on programmes such as ITV's ''Hell's Kitchen'', and ''Cops with Cameras'', along with Five's ''Trust Me - I'm A Holiday Rep.'' Terry Nutkins
Terence Paul Nutkins (12 August 1946 – 6 September 2012) was an English naturalist, television presenter and author. He appeared in the UK children's programmes '' Animal Magic'', ''The Really Wild Show'', ''Brilliant Creatures'' and ''Growing Up Wild''. Biography Terry Nutkins was born in Marylebone, London, and spent most of his childhood there. His parents' house overlooked Marylebone station. He skipped school to spend time with the elephants at London Zoo. BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series. The television channel closed down in 2016 and was replaced by an online-only BBC Three streaming channel. After six years of being online, BBC Three returned to linear television on 1 February 2022. Horse
The horse (''Equus ferus caballus'') is a domesticated, one-toed, hoofed mammal. It belongs to the taxonomic family Equidae and is one of two extant subspecies of ''Equus ferus''. The horse has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature, ''Eohippus'', into the large, single-toed animal of today. Humboldt Penguin
The Humboldt penguin (''Spheniscus humboldti'') is a medium-sized penguin. It resides in South America, its range mainly contains most of coastal Peru. Its nearest relatives are the African penguin, the Magellanic penguin and the Galápagos penguin. The Humboldt penguin and the cold water current it swims in both are named after the explorer Alexander von Humboldt. The species is listed as vulnerable by the IUCN with no population recovery plan in place. The current population is composed of 32,000 mature individuals and is going down. It is a migrant species.
