Music From The Home Front
Music from the Home Front was a concert held across Australia and New Zealand on 25 April 2020, to pay tribute to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and workers at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic response. The concert was broadcast live on television by the Nine Network in Australia, Channel Three in New Zealand and YouTube internationally and run for 3 ½ hours. The broadcast was viewed by 1.159 million Australians, with the show rating number 1 for under 40 year olds. A compilation album of the same name was released by Bloodlines on 19 June 2020. TV Tonight is an Australian-based website which features reviews, news and programming information related to television in Australia as well as OzTAM ratings information. The site was started by television critic David Knox in 2007 after listeners of his radio programs asked him for information they had missed. Knox runs the site, publishing his interviews with Australian media actors, producers, directors and programmers. Knox regularly visits the sets of Australian television series and reviews television programs. Knox also served as television critic for Radio National's breakfast program from 2009 to 2015. "When the War Is Over" is a power ballad of Australian band Cold Chisel from their 1982 album ''Circus Animals''. The song was written by drummer Steve Prestwich and issued as the third single from the album, peaking at number 25 on the national singles chart, and also resurfaced in August 2011 due to download sales (peaking at number 82 on the ARIA chart). In January 2018, as part of Triple M's "Ozzest 100", the 'most Australian' songs of all time, "When the War Is Over" was ranked number 61. Background Like many of the songs from "Circus Animals" that were deliberately written to be as different in style as possible from those on the pop-laced ''East'' that had preceded it, "When the War is Over" has a distinctly odd structure. Gold 104.3 (call sign: 3KKZ) is a radio station broadcasting in Melbourne, Australia. Gold 104.3 is part of the Pure Gold Network (which itself is a part of the Australian Radio Network) and broadcasts on the 104.3 MHz frequency.
