The Museum of the American Railroad, formerly known as the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, is a railroad museum in Frisco, Texas. Interurban Railway Museum
Plano Station, Texas Electric Railway, now known as the Interurban Railway Museum, is a historic train station at 901 E 15th Street in Plano, Texas. It is still served by the Downtown Plano station of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail, which reutilized the right of way of the interurban. The Mission Revival/Spanish Revival style station was completed in 1908 at the opening of the Texas Electric Railway. The railway operated from 1908 to 1948. The station stood vacant until the City of Plano renovated it into the Interurban Railway Museum in 1990. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 10, 2005. Heritage Farmstead Museum
Heritage Farmstead Museum (also known as the Ammie Wilson House) is a historic farm museum at 1900 West 15th Street in Plano, Texas. The late- Victorian farm-house was built in 1891 on a 365-acre farm belonging to Mary Alice Farrell and her husband Hunter Farrell, a landowner and businessman whose family had moved to Texas from Virginia. The Farrells divorced in 1929 and eventually their daughter Ammie took over management of the farm and became an award-winning livestock breeder before her death in 1972. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. In 1986 the farm opened as a living museum utilizing the remaining 4.5 acres surrounding the home. Heard-Craig House
The Heard-Craig House is a historic house in McKinney, Texas, U.S.. It was built for Stephen and Lillian Heard in 1900. The house has 7,000 square feet and four floors. In 1970, Kathryn Heard-Craig gifted the house to multiple arts organizations as a place to convene and educate. In addition to an education hub, the center is also a Regional Art Museum boasting a large collection of Texas Regional Art. Notable artists include Frank Earl Klepper, Allie Tenant, Thomas Stell, Guy Wiggins, Bruce Crane, and more.
