''Museo del horror'' (in English, "Museum of Horror") is a 1964 Mexican mystery thriller horror black-and-white film directed by Rafael Baledón and starring Julio Alemán, Patricia Conde and Joaquín Cordero. Plot Many women disappear under mysterious circumstances, generating a climate of terror and paranoia in the entire population of a town. All the clues point to the same museum. Rafael Baledón
Rafael Baledón Cárdenas (25 November 1919 – 6 May 1994) was a Mexican actor, director, screenwriter, and producer of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. He worked in both film and television. Life Rafael Baledón was on 25 November 1919 in Campeche, Mexico. He initially wanted to be a doctor, but could not pursue the career due to economic reasons. His acting career began working as an extra until he received his major acting job for the 1942 film ''María Eugenia''. The following year, he married actress Lilia Michel and had five children: Rafael, Leonor, Ana Laura, Lourdes and Lilia. On 6 May 1994, he died of a heart attack. Carlos Savage (1919-2000) was a Mexican film editor and actor. He is also one of the descendants of Benito Juarez. His father, Carlos Savage Juarez, is the grandson of former Mexican President Benito Juarez, who was also a cadet in Mexico's Heroic Military Academy, where he participated in the famous " Marcha de la Lealtad" or "March of Loyalty" of the Mexican ex-president Francisco I. Sword-and-sandal, also known as peplum (pepla plural), is a subgenre of largely Italian-made historical, mythological, or Biblical epics mostly set in the Greco-Roman antiquity or the Middle Ages. These films attempted to emulate the big-budget Hollywood historical epics of the time, such as ''Samson and Delilah'' (1949), ''Quo Vadis'' (1951), ''The Robe'' (1953), ''The Ten Commandments'' (1956), '' Ben-Hur'' (1959), ''Spartacus'' (1960), and ''Cleopatra'' (1963). These films dominated the Italian film industry from 1958 to 1965, eventually being replaced in 1965 by spaghetti Western and Eurospy films.
