Murwillumbah Railway Station
The Murwillumbah railway station is a heritage-listed former terminus railway station located on the Murwillumbah line in South Murwillumbah, in the Tweed Shire local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The former railway station is also known as the Murwillumbah Railway Station and yard group. The station opened on 24 December 1894 and closed on 16 May 2004 when the line from Casino was closed. The station was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. History Beyond the station, the line continued for a few kilometres as a freight line to Condong. It served a sugar mill until 1972. Murwillumbah had a X200 shunter until the opening of a new motorail siding in August 1988 made it surplus. Despite no longer being served by trains, the station remains open as a NSW TrainLink booking office. Pacific Highway (Australia)
Pacific Highway is a national highway and major transport route along the central east coast of Australia, with the majority of it being part of Australia's Highway 1. The highway and its adjoining Pacific Motorway between Brisbane and Brunswick Heads and Pacific Motorway between Sydney and Newcastle links the state capitals of Sydney in New South Wales with Brisbane in Queensland, approximately paralleling the Tasman Sea of the South Pacific Ocean coast, via Gosford, Newcastle, Taree, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, and Ballina. Additionally, between Brunswick Heads and Port Macquarie (excepting for a short stretch around Coffs Harbour), the road is also signed as Pacific Motorway, but has not been legally gazetted as such. Robina railway station is located on the Gold Coast line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Gold Coast suburb of Robina. History Robina station opened on 31 May 1998 when the Gold Coast line was extended from Nerang. It served at the terminus of the line until it was extended to Varsity Lakes in December 2009. The New South Wales ''XPT'' (short for eXpress Passenger Train) is a class of diesel-powered passenger trains built by Comeng and ABB Transportation. Motorail
A motorail train or accompanied car train (ACT) is a passenger train on which passengers can take their car or automobile along with them on their journey. Passengers are carried in normal passenger carriages or in sleeping carriages on longer journeys, while the cars are loaded into autoracks, car-carriers, or flatcars that normally form part of the same train.
