Murthel Groenhart
Murthel Cyrill Dwyth Groenhart (born October 10, 1986) is a Dutch-Surinamese mixed martial artist and former kickboxer. Groenhart is the 2012 K-1 World MAX World Championship Tournament Champion and former Glory Welterweight Champion. Career Early years Groenhart began his kickboxing career fighting on small shows in the Netherlands. He made his SLAMM debut in 2006, losing both of his fights with the organization, including a decision loss to Leroy Kaestner at B-Klass level. In 2008, Groenhart was invited by the K-1 organization to take part in an eight-man tournament, which had originally been intended for heavyweights but was changed later for fighters around the 75 kg bracket. Groenhart won the competition in spectacular fashion, dispatching all three of his opponents by stoppage on the night to take the title in Milan. Nevada Athletic Commission
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (also known as the Nevada Athletic Commission or NSAC) regulates all contests and exhibitions of unarmed combat within the state of Nevada, including licensure and supervision of promoters, boxers, kickboxers, mixed martial arts fighters, seconds, ring officials, managers, and matchmakers. The commission is the final authority on licensing matters, having the ability to approve, deny, revoke, or suspend all licenses for unarmed combat. The commission was established in 1941. It has several times been criticized for its conduct and sentences, and has several times been labelled a "kangaroo court". Leroy "Bamm Bamm" Kaestner (born September 28, 1988) is a Dutch welterweight kickboxer fighting out of Bullys gym Arnhem for Team Aerts/Afafa. He is the K-1 World MAX 2009 Europe Tournament champion currently competing in K-1 MAX. Career and biography Kaestner idolized Peter Aerts and began training in kickboxing at the age of 10. After five years of fighting at smaller Dutch events, Leroy Kaestner made his K-1 debut at the K-1 World MAX 2009 Europe Tournament in Utrecht, Netherlands on March 1, 2009, becoming the surprise winner of the competition, beating Marco Pique in the final by unanimous decision. As a result of his victory Kaestner would qualify for the K-1 World MAX 2009 Final 16, losing by decision to eventual runner up Andy Souwer.
