''Mural'' () is a 2011 Chinese film co-written, co-produced and directed by Gordon Chan, which stars Deng Chao, Sun Li, Yan Ni, Collin Chou, Zheng Shuang and Eric Tsang. It is directed by the same director who directed ''Painted Skin'' (2008). Both stories are drawn from Pu Songling's (1640–1715) collection of supernatural tales ''Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio''. Gordon Chan
Gordon Chan Kar-Seung (), born in 1960, is a Hong Kong film director, writer and producer. His most notable works include ''Beast Cops'', ''Fist of Legend'', ''Painted Skin'', '' 2000 AD'' and '' Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen''. In 2011 he announced and launched the productions for ''Mural'', ''Four Detectives/Four Marshals'', and '' Painted Skin 2''. Andy On () (born May 11, 1977) is an American actor and martial artist. Life and career On was born on May 11, 1977, in Providence, Rhode Island. He is a native of the US, and can speak English, Mandarin, and a bit of Cantonese. Andy On did not graduate from high school. He worked as a bartender in Rhode Island. While doing this, he was approached by China Star founder Charles Heung and filmmaker Tsui Hark to take over the role of one of Jet Li's film characters, '' Black Mask'', in '' Black Mask 2: City of Masks'' (2002). Zheng Shuang (born Zheng Yihan; 22 August 1991) is a Chinese actress. She rose to fame with her role as Chu Yuxun in ''Meteor Shower'' (2009–2010), becoming the youngest actress to be nominated for Best Actress at the China TV Golden Eagle Award. ''Painted Skin'' ( zh, t= ) is a 2008 supernatural-fantasy film directed by Gordon Chan, starring Donnie Yen, Chen Kun, Zhou Xun, Zhao Wei, Sun Li and Qi Yuwu.
