Munish Jolly (born 28 January 1974) is an Indian former cricketer. He played First-class cricket, first-class match for Bengal cricket team, Bengal in 1997/98.  He is in the top panel of Commentators of All India Radio and is a leading Broadcaster, Voice-over artist. He had the honour of covering Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Olympics with Star Sports and Sony Sports Network, respectively. He has delivered commentary in Cricket World Cups, Hockey World Cups, the Prestigious National Sports Award at the Durbar Hall in the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House), New Delhi. Munish Makhija
Manish Makhija (sometimes spelled Munish Makhija, born 7 October 1968), is an Indian video jockey, and Mumbai-based restaurateur, who is most known for his characters Udham Singh on Channel V's ''The Udham Singh Show'' (1997), and Munna on UTV Bindass's ''Cash Cab – Meter Chalu Hai''. Early life and education Makhija was born and brought up in Delhi where his father and mother worked for the Indian Postal Department. He received his B.A. political science degree from Delhi's Kirori Mal College. He subsequently studied for an L.L.B. at Delhi University, but dropped out. Career He first made his mark and gained popularity with Channel V show, 'The Udham Singh Show', where he anchored the show as Udham Singh in Hariyanvi style. A video jockey (abbreviated VJ or sometimes veejay) is an announcer or host who introduces music videos and live performances on commercial music television channels such as MTV, VH1, MuchMusic and Channel V. Origins The term "video jockey" comes from the term "disc jockey", "DJ" ("deejay") as used in radio. Music Television (MTV) popularized the term in the 1980s (see List of MTV VJs). The MTV founders got their idea for their VJ host personalities from studying Merrill Aldighieri's club. Aldighieri worked in the New York City nightclub Hurrah, which was the first to make a video installation as a prominent featured component of the club's design with multiple monitors hanging over the bar and dance floor. When Hurrah invited Aldighieri to show her experimental film, she asked if she could develop a video to complement the DJ music so that then her film would become part of a club ambiance and not be seen as a break in the evening. Munish Chander Puri
Munish Chander Puri (15 August 1939 – 28 December 2005) was Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at IIT Delhi. He was Organizing Chair, Asia Pacific Operational Research Societies (APORS). He was killed in Bangalore in the 2005 Indian Institute of Science shooting. Career Puri did his B.Sc (Hons.) mathematics in 1960, M.Sc. mathematics in 1962 (first position) and Ph.D. in operations research in 1972 from Delhi University. He served at Hans Raj College in Delhi University until 1984 and then served at IITD until 2004. He had supervised thirteen PhD theses, nine MPhil dissertations, six MTech projects and eleven M.Sc. projects. He had written many research articles in various journals of international repute. His area of specialization, included combinatorial optimization, fractional programming, linear programming and network flow problems.
