The Municipality of Jesenice (; sl, Občina Jesenice) is a municipality in northwest Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the town of Jesenice. Geography The municipality lies in the Upper Carniola region, in the Upper Sava Valley. It is bordered by the Karawanks and Austria ( Carinthia) to the north, and by Mount Mežakla to the south. Kočna, Jesenice
Kočna () is a settlement in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Name ''Kočna'' is a relatively common toponym in Slovenia. It is derived from the Slovene common noun ''kočna'' 'cirque' and originally refers to a local geographical feature. Mass grave Kočna is the site of a mass grave from the period immediately after the Second World War. The Kočna Mass Grave ( sl, Grobišče Kočna), also known as the Poljane nad Jesenicami Mass Grave (), is located southeast of the settlement, a few dozen meters from a dirt road. It is a visibly sunken area measuring and it contains the remains of up to 40 German prisoners of war murdered on 7 or 10 May 1945. One of the intended victims was able to escape. The Municipality of Bled (; sl, Občina Bled) is a municipality in northwestern Slovenia in the Upper Carniola region. Municipality Of Žirovnica
The Municipality of Žirovnica (; sl, Občina Žirovnica) is a municipality in Slovenia. The seat of the municipality is the village of Breznica. In the Završnica Valley, behind the Reber range that overlooks the villages, the first public hydroelectric plant in Slovenia was built in 1914. In 1952, after building a 60 m dam (the highest dam in Slovenia to date) in the Kavčke Gorge, a second hydroelectric plant opened in nearby Moste. This was the first hydroelectric plant to operate on the Sava River. Feistritz im Rosental ( sl, Bistrica v Rožu), often referred to as simply Feistritz (), is a market town in the district of Klagenfurt-Land in the Austrian state of Carinthia. Geography It is located in the ''Rosental'', the U-shaped valley of the Drava river north of the Karawanks mountain range along the Periadriatic Seam. The valley is named after the Carinthian noble house of Ras, who had Rosegg Castle built around 1200. It is a traditional settlement area of Carinthian Slovenes. Sankt Jakob im Rosental ( sl, Šentjakob v Rožu) is a town in the district of Villach-Land in the Austrian state of Carinthia.
