The Municipality of Clanwilliam – Erickson is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Manitoba. History The municipality was incorporated on January 1, 2015 via the amalgamation of the RM of Clanwilliam and the Town of Erickson. The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. Riding Mountain National Park is a national park in Manitoba, Canada. The park is located within Treaty 2 Territory and sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. Consisting of a protected area , the forested parkland stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding prairie farmland. Hilltop is a rural community in the Municipality of Clanwilliam – Erickson and is a mixed agricultural area. Historically, the area was settled by Scandinavian immigrants, mainly from Sweden, starting in the 1880s. The community opened a post office in 1900 located on 19-17-17W and a one-room school was located on NE 24-17-18W.
