Mukunda Das
Mukunda Das(Charan kavi) ( bn, মুকুন্দদাস; 22 February 1878 - 18 May 1934) was a Bengali poet, ballad singer, composer and patriot, who contributed to the spread of Swadeshi movement in rural Bengal. Early life Mukunda Das came from a modest background. His grandfather was a boatman and his father was a grocer. He was born as Yajneshwar De to Gurudayal De and Shyamasundari Devi on 22 February 1878, in the village of Banari, in the Bikrampur pargana of Dhaka District (currently part of Munshiganj District, Bangladesh). When he was seven, the family migrated to Barisal where they settled permanently. His father set up a grocery store in the Alekanda region of Barisal town. Being Vaishnavas, his father used to sing devotional songs while running the store. The Deputy Magistrate of Barisal, pleased with his melodious voice offered him the job of an orderly in the Barisal court. Yajneshwar's father took up the job and he began to run the store. Mukunda Goswami
Mukunda Goswami ( sa, मुकुन्द गोस्वामी; born Michael Grant, April 10, 1942) is a spiritual leader (guru) within the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (popularly known as ISKCON or the ''Hare Krishnas''). Early life Mukunda Goswami was born as Michael Grant in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Reed College he became a professional jazz musician and moved to New York to pursue his music career. In 1965 Michael met the Hare Krishna founder A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. The next year he was in the first group of initiated disciples, receiving the Sanskrit name Mukunda Dasa. Mukunda was a pioneer in the early days of the Hare Krishna movement. In 1966 in New York City he helped Bhaktivedanta Swami rent a storefront for the first Hare Krishna temple. Mukunda Neupane ( ne, मुकुन्द न्यौपाने) is a Nepalese trade unionist and politician. Presently, he is at number three in Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) after Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal. Neupane is the president of the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions. Personal life Neupane was born in the Koshi Zone, but moved to the Terai at the age of 17. Polical life In 1971 he joined the militant peasants movement. In 1973 he took part in building an embryo of a trade union movement in Biratnagar. Mukunda became an underground politician activist, and stayed underground until 1990. In 1991 he was elected to parliament. Neupane won the Bara-1 seat in the 1994 legislative election with 17953 votes. In the 1999 legislative election he got 20646 votes, but was defeated by the Nepali Congress candidate Uma Kanta Chaudhary. Mukunda Sharan Upadhyaya (Nepali: मुकुन्द शरण उपाध्याय) is a Nepali Poet and Linguist. He was born in Hemja, Near Pokhara on April 17, 1940, AD. He is best known for his book Prakrit Pokhara ( प्राकृत पोखरा) which won Madan Puraskar on 1964 AD (2021 BS). He is the author of numerous Nepali & Sanskrit books and has made important contribution to Nepali & Sanskrit language, therefore a recognized literary figure by both Nepal & India Government. His Story 'Jhagada Ko Okhati' is famous, and a translated version of it is also taught in the school curriculum of Bangladesh.
