Mt Gravatt Hawks FC is an Australian football (soccer) club from Mount Gravatt, Queensland, a suburb of Brisbane. The club was formed in 1960 and has a prestigious history as holders of several titles including the Ampol Cup, State Championship and several State League Premierships. The club currently plays in the Brisbane Premier League. History Mt Gravatt Soccer Club was founded in 1960 and over many years has prioritised the development of junior players. Mount Gravatt is a southern suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and a prominent hill and lookout within this suburb (). In the , Mount Gravatt had a population of 3,366 people. Geography The suburb is situated in the south-east of the city and was one of Brisbane's largest. This was before it was divided into Mount Gravatt East, Upper Mount Gravatt and Mount Gravatt South; the last being renamed Wishart in the early 1990s. History The hill was named Mount Gravatt in 1840 by surveyor Robert Dixon after Lieutenant George Gravatt who was the commander of the Moreton Bay penal colony from May to July 1839. Gravatt was later transferred to India where he died in 1843. Mount Gravatt State School was opened on 29 June 1874. Nathan Coe
Nathan Coe (born 1 June 1984) is an English–Australian goalkeeper who currently plays for Australian club Bentleigh Greens. Club career The son of former National Soccer League and Australian under 23 goalkeeper Martin Coe, he was educated at the Anglican Church Grammar School. Born in Brisbane and grew up in Ipswich, England. Coe started his career with Brisbane Strikers. He moved to Italian Serie A club Inter Milan and later to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven. Alicia Ann "Eesh" Ferguson (born 31 October 1981) is an Australian soccer player who represented the Australia women's national soccer team at the 1999 and 2007 editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup. Jonathan "Jon" McKain (born 21 September 1982) is a Scottish Australian football player who retired from professional football in 2016 after a long and successful career.
