Mountain West Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The Mountain West Conference women's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in women's basketball for the Mountain West Conference. It is a single-elimination tournament involving all of the 11 league schools, and seeding is based on regular-season records with head-to-head match-up as a tie-breaker. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA women's basketball tournament. In the first round, the #8 seed plays the #9 seed, the #7 seed plays the #10 seed, and the #6 seed plays the #11 seed, with the 3 top seeds (ranked by conference record) play the winners of those respective games, while the #4 and #5 seed play each other. The winners of the four games play each other in the Semifinals, and the winner of those two games play off against each other to determine the champion. Air Force Falcons Women's Basketball
The Air Force Falcons women's basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team currently competes in the Mountain West Conference. The Falcons are currently coached by Chris Gobrecht. The Falcons competed at the Division II level in both the AIAW and NCAA from 1976 to 1996 before joining Division I. They played in the NCAA Division II tournament twice, in 1985 and 1990. Wyoming Cowgirls Basketball
The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball team is a women's college basketball team at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. Competing in the Mountain West Conference, the organization has a tradition dating back to 1973. History The program began in 1973, with Bonnie Hulstrand as head coach. Following Hulstrand's leaving for the Idaho Vandals, Margie Hunt McDonald led the team for 9 seasons, finishing her coaching career with over 100 wins and a winning record at Wyoming. When McDonald left coaching to become the executive director of the High Country Athletic Conference, Dan Richards coached the team for three seasons. 2018–19 Wyoming Cowgirls Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Wyoming Cowgirls basketball team will represent the University of Wyoming in the 2018–19 college basketball season.
