Mountain Fever Records
Mountain Fever Records is a record label based in Willis, Virginia specializing primarily in bluegrass music. History The label was established by Mark Hodges, a Floyd County, Virginia native. He opened the Something To Do Video store, which he turned into a successful chain of stores. As a hobby, he began to record his musician friends when they would visit, and he turned this hobby into a stand-alone 72-track recording studio, and then the record label. Sammy Shelor of the Lonesome River Band and Aaron Ramsey of Mountain Heart have engineered and mastered Mountain Fever projects. Darrell DeShawn Camp (born August 29, 1966) is an American musician who performs country and Americana music. Originally signed to Reprise Records in 1993 as a recording artist, Camp charted two minor singles on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that year. Since then he has found success as a songwriter, having co-written hit singles for many country music artists, including Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Josh Turner, Brooks & Dunn, and Blake Shelton, although he continues to record his own material as well. Biography Camp was raised in Perryville, Arkansas by a musical family. Junior Sisk
Harry "Junior" Sisk is an American guitarist and vocalist in the bluegrass tradition, best known for his work with his band Rambler's Choice. He cites the hard-driving bluegrass of the Stanley Brothers as a major influence on his approach to bluegrass music. Biography Early years Sisk was born in Arlington but was raised in Ferrum, Virginia. His early interest in music was sparked by his father Harry Sisk Sr., who wrote songs and played guitar, and his mother who sang. When Sisk was 14, his parents gifted him with an upright bass. Wyatt Rice
Wyatt Rice is an American guitarist and bluegrass musician. He is best known for his solo albums and his work in his brother's group the Tony Rice Unit. Biography Rice was born in Long Beach, California but grew up in Florida and other locations. He began playing guitar at age six, learning from his father Herb Rice. He also played alto saxophone, bassoon, and bass in his school marching band. At age 17, Rice moved from Florida to California to be a member of his brother Tony Rice's band, the Tony Rice Unit. Irene Kelley is an American country and bluegrass musician. As a songwriter, she has written for Ricky Skaggs, Alan Jackson, Loretta Lynn, and the Osborne Brothers. Early life Kelley is originally from Pennsylvania and in high school sang in a Led Zeppelin cover band. She was asked to leave the group after suggesting the band cover songs from Dolly Parton. Career Kelley moved to Nashville, Tennessee in the early 1980s. This was after visiting on her honeymoon in 1983 and discovering the first gathering of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Alan Bibey
Alan Bibey (born August 24, 1964) is a mandolinist, singer, songwriter, and band leader in the bluegrass tradition. Biography Early years Bibey was raised in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. His dad and his mother's brothers were bluegrass musicians, and Bibey's love of bluegrass music was sparked when at age five his dad took him to see Bill Monroe in Walkertown. Bibey immediately took up the mandolin. Bibey played at fiddler’s conventions and contests and in two bluegrass bands with his dad. Andrea Zonn
Andrea Elizabeth Zonn (born 1969) is a singer and fiddle player who grew up in Urbana, Illinois. She grew up in an environment surrounded by music. She sings, and plays classical violin, and is fluent in numerous other musical genres. Zonn first met Alison Krauss at a fiddle contest at the Champaign County Fair when she was 10 (and Alison 8).
