Moubray Glacier is a rather steep glacier flowing south to Moubray Bay from Adare Saddle on Adare Peninsula in Antarctica. It is one of the main contributors of ice to Moubray Piedmont Glacier. Moubray St John, 19th Baron St John Of Bletso
Moubray St Andrew Thornton St John, 19th Baron St John of Bletso DL JP (5 November 1877 – 28 October 1934) was an English peer. Life St John was the second son of Beauchamp St John, 17th Baron St John of Bletso and Helen Charlotte, née Thornton. He was educated at Wellington College. Following the outbreak of the Second Boer War he volunteered for service with the Imperial Yeomanry, and served in South Africa from 1899 to 1902. He took part in operations in Transvaal in May and June 1900, including actions at Johannesburg and Pretoria. In October 1900 he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the 1st battalion of the King's Own Scottish Borderers, stationed in South Africa, and the following year served in Transvaal, west of Pretoria. He was promoted to lieutenant on 12 May 1902. He later served in World War I, having rejoined the army in the Reserve of Officers, and in 1918 was a captain in the Bedfordshire Regiment. Moubray House
Moubray House, 51 and 53 High Street, is one of the oldest buildings on the Royal Mile, and one of the oldest occupied residential buildings in Edinburgh, Scotland. The façade dates from the early 17th century, built on foundations laid . The tenement is noted for its interiors, including a Renaissance board-and-beam painted ceiling discovered in 1999, a plaster ceiling with exotic fruit and flower mouldings with the arms of Pringle of Galashiels (five escallops on a saltire) dated 1650 painted on the wall, and a wooden barrel-vaulted attic apartment which is expressed on the roofline. Notable people associated with the house include Scotland's first eminent portrait painter George Jamesone, the English spy and writer Daniel Defoe, who was instrumental in the passing of the 1707 Act of Union with England, and Archibald Constable, proprietor of the ''Encyclopædia Britannica''.
