Motordrome (album)
''Motordrome'' is the third album by Danish singer and songwriter MØ, released on 28 January 2022 through Columbia Records. It was announced alongside the release of the singles "Brad Pitt" and "Goosebumps" on 12 November 2021, and also includes the singles "Live to Survive" and "Kindness". MØ was to tour Europe and North America from February 2022 in support of the album. ''Motordrome'' charted only in Denmark, debuting at number nine on the Danish Albums Chart. Background MØ began work on ''Motordrome'' to help herself "out of a downward spiral – out of the motor d me of her own head". She characterised the album as being "about both the sadness and the joy of making changes in your life" and stated that she hopes ''Motordrome'' feels "genuine" to listeners in the sense that "there are stories there that they can connect with". ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. Jannus Live (originally known as Jannus Landing) is an outdoor music venue in St. Petersburg, Florida. Located in the Downtown St. Petersburg Historic District, the courtyard venue has hosted numerous concerts for local and mainstream artists. Cat's Cradle is a music venue and nightclub located in Carrboro, North Carolina, less than a mile from the University of North Carolina campus. It has two floors with a capacity of 750 people. In the early 1990s, it contributed to the Chapel Hill region being called the "Next Seattle" by the music press, given that the club hosted upcoming regional and national alternative and grunge acts such as Nirvana (who last performed there just 10 days after the release of ''Nevermind''), Pearl Jam, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Ween (who documented their December 9, 1992, performance with ''At the Cat's Cradle, 1992'').
