The Scout Association Of Hong Kong
The Scout Association of Hong Kong is the largest scouting organisation in Hong Kong. Scout training was first introduced in Hong Kong in 1909 and 1910 by the Protestant based Boys' Brigade, Chums Scout Patrols and British Boy Scouts. The Catholic St. Joseph's College, formed its Boy Scout Troop in 1913, and registered with the Boy Scouts Association of the United Kingdom in 1914. The Boy Scouts Association formed its Hong Kong Local Association in July 1915 which became its Hong Kong Branch. After changes to the name of the United Kingdom organisation in 1967, the branch name was changed to The Scout Association Hong Kong Branch. In 1977, The Scout Association of Hong Kong was constituted as an autonomous association and successor to The Scout Association's Hong Kong Branch and became the 111th member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in 1977. Tisdale-Morse House
The Tisdale-Morse House is a historic house located at 17 Fayette Place in Taunton, Massachusetts. Description and history This large -story, Greek Revival style house was built in 1835 for Samuel Tisdale, and is one of the last surviving estate houses in the city. It originally sat on a large estate, which was held through the 1870s by Lovett Morse, a bank president, before being subdivided for development. The house has a central-hall plan, and is set on a high brick foundation. It has a single-story porch supported by fluted columns, that wraps around two sides. The house has been subdivided into apartments. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 5, 1984. Timothy Morse House
The Timothy Morse House is a historic First Period house in West Newbury, Massachusetts. The 2.5-story wood-frame house was built in stages beginning in 1730. Even though Georgian styling and construction techniques were already taking hold at that time, this house was built in a typical First Period style. The first portion built was to the right of the (now central) chimney, and was followed at a later date by construction of the left side. In the 20th century, one addition was added to the rear of the house, and a relatively modern sun porch addition was added to the right side. The west side front room features a Federal period fireplace. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
