Morris Jones (television Journalist)
Morris Jones is an American television journalist. He was the anchor of Sinclair Broadcast Group's News Central broadcast which originated from Sinclair's suburban Baltimore ( Hunt Valley) headquarters. There he co-anchored many news broadcasts on Sinclair stations throughout the United States. He was formerly anchor at WTTG, where he worked from 1983 to 2001. Before that he was briefly the anchor at WTLV-TV, in Jacksonville, Florida. On May 1, 2010 he rejoined the Washington DC market. ''News Central'' is an American series of primetime newscast television programs on television stations owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group. The programs mixed locally produced news with nationally produced news and an opinion segment from Sinclair's Hunt Valley, Maryland studios, along with weather segments customized for each market also originating from Hunt Valley. ''News Central'' was broadcast between October 2002 and March 2006. History ''News Central'' was launched on October 28, 2002, with WSMH's ''News At Ten''. Hunt Valley, Maryland
Hunt Valley is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States, near the site of the Maryland Hunt Cup Steeplechase. It lies just north of the city of Baltimore, along York Road (Maryland Route 45), parallel to Interstate 83. The nearby Loch Raven Reservoir is an important landmark and drinking water resource. Its surrounding forested watershed is one of three reservoirs (along with Prettyboy and Liberty Reservoirs) established for the City of Baltimore. WTTG (channel 5) is a television station in Washington, D.C., airing programming from the Fox network. It is owned and operated by the network's Fox Television Stations division alongside MyNetworkTV outlet WDCA (channel 20). WTTG and WDCA share studios on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. Through a channel sharing agreement, the stations transmit using WTTG's spectrum from a tower also located in Bethesda on River Road at the site of WDCA's former studio facilities.
