Sir Michael Jonathan Moritz (born 12 September 1954) is a Welsh billionaire venture capitalist, philanthropist, author, and former journalist. Moritz works for Sequoia Capital, wrote the first history of Apple Inc., ''The Little Kingdom'', and authored ''Going for Broke: Lee Iacocca's Battle to Save Chrysler''. Previously, Moritz was a staff writer at ''Time'' magazine and a member of the board of directors of Google. He studied at the University of Oxford and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and went on to found Technologic Partners before becoming a venture capitalist in the 1980s. Moritz Duschak
Moritz Mordechai Duschak (; November 14, 1815 – July 21, 1890) was an Austrian rabbi and author. Biography Moritz Duschak was born in Triesch, Moravia, on November 14, 1815. At the age of thirteen he went to Trebitsch, where he studied under Joachim Pollak. He was later a pupil in Talmud of Moses Sofer of Presburg, and studied at the University of Prague. Duschak was for a long time rabbi in the Moravian towns of Aussee and Gaya. In 1877 he became preacher in Cracow and teacher of religion at the gymnasium of that city. After several years' service he left Cracow and settled in Vienna, where he spent his last days in neglect. André Francisco Moritz (born 6 August 1986) is a Brazilian footballer of Italian and German descent who last played as an attacking midfielder for Singapore Premier League club Hougang United. Club career Moritz began his career with Avaí FC's youth categories, signing a professional contract with SC Internacional in 2003, aged 16. Carl Moritz (27 April 1863 – 23 August 1944) was a German architect and real-estate entrepreneur. Based in Cologne, he built the Cologne opera house of 1902, and various banks, theatres and churches in Germany. Career Born in Berlin, Moritz studied architecture at the Technische Hochschule Charlottenburg. In 1894 he began his career as an independent architect in Berlin; the same year he took a study trip to England, one year later to Italy. From 1896 to 1898 he was inspector at the municipal building department in Cologne, after which he worked there as a freelance architect. He founded eight architectural firms or companies in Cologne in the 1930s, working closely with the architects Albert Betten and Werner Stahl. In 1934 he retired and settled on Lake Starnberg, where he died in Berg, part of Starnberg.
