''More Tales of the City'' (1980) is the second book in the '' Tales of the City'' series by San Francisco novelist Armistead Maupin, originally serialized in the '' San Francisco Chronicle''. It was adapted into the 1998 miniseries '' More Tales of the City''. Plot The story begins a couple of months after the end of ''Tales of the City''. Michael ("Mouse") Tolliver and Mary Ann Singleton go on a cruise on the ''Pacific Princess MS ''Azamara Onward,'' formerly ''R Three'' and ''Pacific Princess'' is a cruise ship owned and operated by Azamara Cruises since 2022. ''Tales of the City'' (formally ''Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City'') is a 1993 television miniseries based on the first of the ''Tales of the City'' series of novels by Armistead Maupin. To date, the first three books have been adapted into television miniseries; the first, ''Tales of the City'', was produced by the UK's Channel 4 and was first screened in the UK in 1993, then shown on PBS in the US in January 1994. Channel 4 eventually teamed up with the American cable network Showtime to produce the sequel, ''More Tales of the City'', which premiered in the US and UK in 1998. The third installment of the series, ''Further Tales of the City'', was produced by Showtime (without Channel 4) and was originally aired in the US on Showtime in May 2001. MS Pacific
MS ''Pacific'' (known as Sea Venture from 1971 to 1975, Pacific Princess from 1975 to 2002, and simply Pacific from 2002 to 2013) was a cruise ship owned and operated by the Brazil-based Viagens CVC. She was built for Flagship Cruises in 1971 by the company Nordseewerke in Emden, West Germany, and named ''Sea Venture''. She operated cruises between the United States and Bermuda, which had been settled by the survivors of the wreck of the original ''Sea Venture'' in 1609.
