Montenegro Davis Cup Team
The Montenegro Davis Cup team represents Montenegro in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Tennis Federation of Montenegro. Montenegro currently compete in Europe Zone Group III. Montenegro made its debut in Davis Cup in 2007 in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group IV. In competition with Andorra, Armenia, Botswana and Rwanda, Montenegro finished first with all four victories, losing only one set in twelve matches played. In 2008, Montenegro competed in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group III. With four victories and one defeat at the hands of host Bulgaria, Montenegro was second in Venue 1 and was promoted to Europe/Africa Zone of Group II. In 2009, Montenegro lost a first round tie to Monaco 5–0 at Monte Carlo Country Club, Roquebrune Cap Martin, and had to play a relegation play-off against Denmark. The 2007 Davis Cup was the 96th edition of the Davis Cup, a national teams competition in men's tennis. Sixteen teams participated in the World Group and 123 took part in different regional groups. The Montenegro Billie Jean King Cup team represents Montenegro in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Tennis Federation of Montenegro. They currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group III. History Montenegro competed in its first Fed Cup in 2007, finishing third in their Group III pool. The Yugoslavia men's national tennis team competed from 1927 to 2003 and represented the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (up to 1929 known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes) from 1927 to 1939, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (up to 1963 the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia) from 1946 to 1992, and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia from 1995 to 2003. Petar Jovanović (; born 12 July 1982) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Sloboda Užice. Club career In the summer of 2005, Jovanović moved to Romania and signed with Liga I newcomers Vaslui. He spent the next seven years at the club, including loan spells to Mladenovac, Politehnica Iași, Sevojno, and Sloboda Užice.
